ENGINEER + ANALYST + LOVE FOR CHOCOLATE = AWESOME CHOCOLATE!

We are just an engineer and an analyst who love and appreciate good chocolate. We enjoy travelling and always seek out the area for good food, good bakeries and especially good chocolate bars. One day, we got curious and wanted to make our own chocolate bars…from scratch…in our small kitchen in San Francisco. We can still vividly remember our first few attempts. Beans, husks and nibs flying in the kitchen, smoke detector went off, bits and pieces of chocolate stains were everywhere, we ruined a number of shirts and lots of kitchen towels, but we succeeded. We made our very own chocolate bar, and it tasted good! And the whole making process was very enjoyable. It felt so zen sitting there, listening to music and removing husks from the roasted beans. (Yes, we did that for a number of batches).

From very high quality beans, we sort, roast, crack, winnow, grind, refine. We try different beans and test roasting them differently, grind them for different amount of times, and it’s always exciting to see how the chocolate comes out after different tests. Some we like, some we love, some we don’t like at all.

Out of these n tests, we select only those that we love, refine the recipe, handcraft them in small batches, hand wrap them beautifully to share with you.

Imagine that feeling when you sit on the beautiful Hawaii beach with a delicious cocktail on your hand, watching the waves crashing on the shore. Or that feeling after you had a great dining experience with good food, great ambiance, great company, beautiful plating, attentive service. Isn’t that escaping moment worth those long hours at work? To us, yes, it’s worth it. When we make these chocolate bars, we want them beautiful and delicious to be a special pick-me-up for you during your workday, or a pampering gift for someone who is near and dear to your heart. Our goal is to create special moments out of the ordinaries, because we all deserve them more often.

We hope you enjoy our chocolate as much as we enjoy making them for you.

Thank you for your support!
